Ever Thine, Ever Mine, Ever Ours

I officiated Erica and Marcos' wedding last September at The Resort At Pelican Hill. To say that they are a fun, sweet couple is an understatement!

Perhaps the most important aspect of the ceremony I discuss with a couple is the VOWS. Couples often tell me that they're afraid to write their own vows, as they'll come off sounding cheesy or corny. I can honestly say that I've never heard vows that made me roll my eyes!

However, I have heard vows where I start to feel that classic "lump in my throat"––not often, as I'm the one who cannot afford to get teary-eyed. That said, I was especially moved by the words Erica and Marcos offered to each other. And I can tell you that Marcos' last words were for me a stab-me-in-the-heart die-hard romantic moment!

Married To Amazement

I want to say:
all my life
I was a bride married to amazement.
I was a bridegroom, taking the world into my arms.

How Do You Treat Each Other?

Never love anyone who treats you as ordinary.
Oscar Wilde

I came across this quote last year and was immediately taken by it.  As you plunge headlong into the planning of your wedding, it'll be easy to take each other for granted.
Remember:
 Your love is extraordinary.
Take conscious care to find the extraordinary within the ordinary routine of your daily life together.

A Glimpse Of Wedding Magic

Andrew & Nikki - Pelican Hill from Taylor Films on Vimeo.

Jason Taylor manages to capture some of the fleeting moments of Andrew & Nikki's wedding in this video montage. . .woven together, those moments created the magic of their great celebration.

Nikki & Andrew's vision for their wedding was a shared vision, grounded in family and friends. For Nikki & Andrew their love only makes sense within the comforting context of the love of their friends and family. A cliche? No––just reality, as this video shows in its sweet simplicity.
